October 22, 2008

Dear Friends,

Astonishing as it may seem; our hopes, dreams and prayers are about to be answered.  We are about to have a grand celebration, dedicating the new addition on our church to the glory of God.  You may already know, but I’ll tell you again.  Our dedication ceremony is to be held on Sunday, November 23, 2008.  The plans are to have our weekly worship at 11:00 am, followed by a covered-dish luncheon, and then at 1:30 pm for us to have the dedication ceremony.  Anyone who has had anything to do with this momentous event is welcomed to attend.  We encourage you to invite your friends – the more the merrier!

We cannot, however, get too wrapped up only in the excitement and festive nature of this occasion.  We must always keep in the forefront of our minds all that we have done as a church to bring about this new building has been done to the glory of God.  What we are providing here is not a monument to ourselves, but rather, a safe and secure place for our members and friends to come and worship Christ.  This is meant to glorify God and to be a place of study, fellowship, and use for not only us, but also the community of Gastonia, so that future generations can know the truth of the Word and the grace of God.
We pray that through the ministry of our wonderful facility we can grow in knowledge and love of Jesus Christ, and that others can, too.

Many blessings,

Dr. Joan
